Some people stay in the wheelchair forever. Musicmaker had LL 3 years ago and hasn't recovered yet.

Some people can walk right after waking up from surgery, some can't. You should be able to walk while lengthening however some elect to not weight bear and remain in wheelchair doing solely PT.

No one is walking after waking up from surgery.
