Bad experiences after nail removal

I learnt some patients had bad experiences after Fitbone removal with infections and others had different kind of problems.
Possible consequences of infections after removal? What if a limb is misaligned? Does this person need further surgery? I told him if doctor says he doesn't need corrections and he needs them he will get premature arthritis.
