Hey everyone, here is a quick update so you can see my current progress. I'm posting the links to 2 pictures below. My legs are starting to fill back out and the additional length is becoming less and less noticeable. I am still not pushing myself too hard when it comes to working out my legs, although I am probably ok to do so at this point. I've been doing light squats while holding dumbbells and just walking a lot. I feel like I have regained my full range of motion, and no longer have any regular pains that would be associated with the procedure. I do get an occasional clicking sound coming from my knees when I get up after a long period of sitting, but it is not painful at all.
Very few people know that I had the procedure and no one that I've seen since I've returned have made any comments about my legs looking odd. I've even been called tall a few times now and it feels pretty good! Again it's all subjective but I am still happy with my decision to go through with this procedure. I can now say from experience that it will not dramatically change or improve your life, but it may give you the confidence boost you are looking for. Check out the pictures and let me know what you think!

What's your wingspan/sitting height/inseam?
I'm curious because I can't even tell that you've had LL.

You sure this wasnt a pre-LL picture? 😂 jk Its great to hear that your legs are getting bigger with minimum effort. Its been 6 weeks since i stopped lengthening and i see very slight improvements in leg size. Are you taking any supplements?

Are you getting in enough macros and protein? Are you squatting/deadlifting?

I dont keep up with macros although i do consume about 2500 calories per day. Im not squatting /deadlifting just walking and slight leg exercises as im only allowed to weightbear 140 pounds and i weight 130 pounds just me alone.

If you didn't tell you had LL I would have never guessed.  But you need a good inch on those quads ;)

Haha thanks man, I'm definitely planning on adding some more muscle.

What's your wingspan/sitting height/inseam?
I'm curious because I can't even tell that you've had LL.

My wingspan is about 5'11, so equal to my new height. My shoulders are probably a little wider than your average Joe so that helps too. Not sure on the sitting height (that varies anyway when you gain or lose glute muscles). My inseam is 32".

Congrats dude. You look great! Enjoy your new life.

Please post some recovery videos when you can. Cheers!

Thanks! will do

Lol I promise this is post LL. You do see some immediate improvement as your muscles finally catch up with your bones, and then the muscle growth tapers off a little. I could probably be pushing myself harder and have more gains right now but I'm just playing it safe. The only supplement I'm taking right now is protein, along with the calcium and vitamin D still.

Are you getting in enough macros and protein? Are you squatting/deadlifting?

It's too early for Jim to be squatting or deadlifting. 2500 calories is probably a sufficient calorie surplus for someone weighing 130 lbs.

bro your post ll proportions are prolly the best i have ever seen. you look very good for having lengthened 6.5 cm (a very good amount)

I can guarantee your post ll legs look a lot better than your stubby pre LL legs, regardless of the height change. hope you have a great recovery and keep updating bro!

Finally got my next set of X-rays done. I sent them to Dr. M and he said that I am fully consolidated at this point, and that we should remove the rods in 4 to 5 months.

Good to see your recovery.
Just one doubt: does this bulbous structure would have any negative consequences?
Another philosophical observation: don't you think how great we are designed by nature to have so straight bones with sharp edges...again proves that nature is really a super-intelligent creator. Humans have not even fully succeeded in even mimicking the same.

Surprisingly you don't feel that big "knot" in the bone where the lengthening took place. You would think that the muscles and tendons would rub on it, but I haven't felt anything like that.

Thanks. Honestly, I haven't seen a huge difference in dating. Certainly the 5'9 and 5'10 girls are more accepting of me, but its hard to say if it makes a big difference with average height girls.

I want to add a post script to the entry above. I don't think I'm back in my element 100% yet, so I think that's why I'm still a little behind the curve in the dating game. I still have some muscle/mass to gain before I'm back at my pre-LL physique, so I think subconsciously I still feel like I'm not up to par. But I have been experiencing some positive attention. I don't want to dissuade anyone from going through with this. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Now for the actual update. I recently saw almost all of my immediate and extended family for a wedding. I haven't seen most of them in at least a year. My 89 year old grandmother was actually the first to say or notice anything. It's funny how sharp older people can be with certain details. My dad also kept saying "It seems like you've grown". I figured he would be the one to notice if anyone did, since we were almost exactly the same height before this procedure. So far, I've been playing it off. I've said things like "oh, I guess its all the protein I'm taking" etc. and he hasn't pressed the issue. My brother, who is an M.D., seemed quite accepting. He found out about it about half way through the procedure and was initially concerned for my health. We talked on the phone a few times throughout my lengthening and recovery phase, and he realized I hadn't made the decision irrationally or spur of the moment. We both struggled with our heights growing up, and I think he is genuinely happy for me at this point. So long story short, yes it is possible to hide the procedure from family/friends, but I would honestly recommend telling those that are close to you. They will understand. I plan on telling my parents in the future.

I have an odd doubt. Since reaming the bones take out a lot of your bone marrow out of biggest bone of your body, so did  you face any weakness, anaemia, lack of RBC count, muscle/fat loss from body in general (not in legs only)  or general tiredness at any time or are you facing it now?

If you can check your hgb/ RBC count now and compare it with previous values of past. That would be greatly help.

This concerned me at first too. I am very surprised that removing that much bone marrow has little to no affect on your health. I don't have any of the metrics, but I do not feel any different at all. I haven't been sick or had any health problems since the surgery. My endurance seems to be unchanged as well.

What would happen after nail removal? Bone marrow will be regenerated or not?
