Proportion and Knee problems
« on: July 17, 2019, 07:53:48 PM »

Hi next year I should be working with Giotikas with Stryde.
I reconstructed the right knee 4 months ago due to an accident. Can this affect this intervention?
Would it be better for me to make femurs or tibias?
Ratio: femurs (57 cm)
                   tibia (53 cm)
I would like to do 6 cm. it's 169 cm (evening)

Thank you all

I reckon you should go for femurs, a knee reconstruction could be exacerbated by another invasive surgery.  Internal femurs are also safer and heal faster, your T:F ratio also seems greater than 0.8 so more tibia lengthening could increase the risk of osteoarthritis. But certainly consult Dr Giotikas to see which option is best.
