10% vs 15% of bone for full athletic recovery? 5'9" (176cm)

I wanna still be athletic for basketball but not pro level. Wanting to have both femur and tibia done.

Femur = 49cm
Tibia = 40cm

10% = 5cm + 4cm = 9cm total or 185cm(6'.08")
15% = 7cm + 6cm = 13cm total or 189cm(6'2.5")

I've seen a few people hit 8cm on their femur that were shorter than me and they seem to recover pretty fine.

I've also seen people do 6cm or even more on their tibia but the results are too varied even though they also start with shorter bones.

I'm gonna be going to Dr. Mahboubian.

Is you intend to do cross-lengthening, go with femur first, you can get more inches, for less risks.

Did you end up doing LL? Im in the same situation where I want to still be able to play soccer.

Your legs already seem long for your current height. 10cm might be too much

I am also interested in getting some athletic ability back mine is only because I will need to run a mile in a certain time for the job field I am going to be going into. Based on my personal research going for Tibias might be better and sticking to the 5cm. The reason for this is because people with longer Tibias seem to be faster and have higher jumping ability based on limited research. Usain Bolt has tibia's 12% longer than femurs, so if you decide to do only one operation, then tibias might be the way to go.
