PLEASE HELP: Should I lengthen more or stop?
« on: March 25, 2020, 09:18:38 PM »

[Repost from Height & Proportions http://www.limblengtheningforum.com/index.php?topic=64967.0]

I have to decide if I want to lengthen my legs more or stop. I don't have much time, thus please reply quickly.

I'm worried that somebody may find out that I've lengthened my legs, because the proportions may be a bit off (I need to keep it in secret for my entire life)(I've been wearing lifts for 2 years) (Nobody knows about it). Here are my photos:

sitting by side (the most worrisome view):

(I'm worried that it can be seen on this photo that my torso is too short for such long thighs)

The other two:

front:

Measurements:
Starting:
height: 170 cm (5'7 inch)
inseam: 80.5 cm (2'7.7) (measured with notebook between leg and scrotum)
wingspan: 176.5 cm (5'9.5)
sitting height: 89cm (2'11)

Current:
height: 175 cm (5'9)
inseam: 85.5 cm (2'9.7) (measured with notebook between leg and scrotum)
wingspan: 176.5 cm (5'9.5)
sitting height: 89cm (2'11)

As you can see I've lengthened 5 cm. Doctor says with confidence that I can do more and I don't know if I should lengthen one more centimeter. I wish to have 6 cm in total. What do you think?

Rational, I was in the exact same position as you, was freaking out about my proportions too, this can happen if you've spent a lot of time on you're own and focusing too much on small details that most people won't even notice. Your proportions look fine in that photo, that said you do need to accept the fact that your femurs are gonna look a little longer than they were before, the extra length has to go somewhere :) Ultimately your decision has to be based on what you want to gain from it, you're doing this for yourself and your own happiness.

Thank you Nestor. I am truly grateful for your answer. I was on my own for three months now. I didn't have anybody to talk about that except my doctor, his assistant and physiotherapist. All of them were saying lately that the proportions are in fact fine. However, few days ago I started to make photos from sides. Then I realized that it seems to look a little bit off, so I obsess about it. Now I started to understand that it may not be a problem since nobody will ever notice that. Thus, I consider pursuing the 6 cm as I planned before. Thank You again  :)

looks quite natural still, even if you were to go the full 8 CM's nobody in the real world would notice, even if you wore shorts (as I do now pretty often confidently), nobody is inspecting you to see if your femurs are disproportionally longer than your tibias. I worried about it in my first weeks roaming around the real world again with my newly acquired 8 cm's in my femurs, but the reality is... nobody cares! everybody is worried about themselves and their problems to spend 2 seconds looking at your legs, just do some squats, fill up the legs a bit again and nobody will suspect anything, go for 6 CMs if it was your goal, it's a good middle ground for height gain and pre-op ability retention, don't worry about proportions much. Cheers

Yeah I'd say go for the additional height while you have a chance. If you regret the chance you had later you'll have to redo the procedure. Movie is right, you can add muscle mass to your thighs which will give the illusion of a less-lanky and much more proportional appearance
