I was reading in other diaries, although there was no other stryde diary (MyEvoultion) being the only one. I read that Paley makes the patient wear boots to prevent ballerina. All Tibia diary’s I read were required to wear the boots. Dr. M did not bring the boot up. I asked him since he didn’t bring it up, and he said you don’t need to worry about it now, down the line well see.
Why do all other doctors require it but Dr. M doesn’t ?
Any thoughts ?
Should I still order the boots (the one off Amazon Myevolution shared) or should I not worry about them?

You don't need it now because you haven't lengthened enough to need that constant stretch from muscles! I'm sure he'll have you wear it in due time.

Honestly I want like 7cm. I know it’s going to be tuff and maybe even dangerous so I’m willing to get 6cm or even 5cm if stuff gets rough. I know for a fact nothing lower than 5cm but I’m aiming more for 6.5-7.

The 10mm one. Scars look way worse than femurs, I seen how femurs scar look and these are just way more cuts. I personally don’t care about scars so I’m fine with it.

No he didn’t, he said it makes you very weak
Right now I’m doing 0.25 mm 3x a day so 0.75 daily

Guys, I need help with stretching .
Currently I’m using the slant board, standing on with with both legs at a time by putting in i middle of the walker to hold balance
Holding it for 10 minutes for both legs at same time. Doing it twice a day
Also doing calf raises
And in bed using the stretch rope to pull my foot front
While doing these exercises I feel my calves really burn, but the problem is after the stretching my calves become really sore and make it even harder to walk.
Isn’t the stretching supposed to make me feel looser not tighter
Any suggestions?

You should ask Dr. M about the calf raises.  I had thought you do not want to do that because you do not want to push the muscle--just want to get the stretch.

Can you post some updates?  What has your walking been like?  How has sleep been?

i really like this guys vids

maybe try taking a hot shower before stretching? maybe bring the time down like 30-60 seconds per foot
4-5 sets per foot

and do that multiple times over the course of the day instead of all at once ( or twice )

how much time are you totalling each day for physio?
looking through myevo's diary he would stretch prety much every hour on the hour
perhaps 2 sessions at 10 minutes may no suffice.
i would say you should be aiming for 2 hours of stretching a day

My problem is my calves are really really weak and are effecting my walking. when I get up to walk I can feel the burn in my calves and Achilles. Which causes me to walk less. For the achilles tendon I’m wearing splints which stretch it out and also using the slant board to stretch. So it’s improving but as far as the calves, If I don’t do calf raises, how are they supposed to get stronger, what should I be doing instead ?

Hey man I really appreciate the reply and video, only problem is those stretches are meant for someone more mobile and flexibly than a cll patient. That’s more for down the line when everything is done and your trying to regain range of motion. Right now it’s difficult to do these stretches . I been sitting on the edge of my bed and having my legs on the floor. Then bring my legs as far back as possible to my body while keeping my heel down and pushing down on my knee. Also the splints help with that stretch as well you just gotta tolerate to wear them. And using the slant board which is still kind of difficult to use since my rom isn’t that good. Finally walking as much as possible with any support you require

Honestly not a set time a day I just do it throughout the day a few mins here and there. But I feel like walking is helping me the most . Walking like 20-30 mins a day. Also in the forums I read people don’t stretch for that long but maybe it’s because they did femurs. Idk how it compares to femurs since this is my first cll but I just need to be less tight and I’ll be perfect.

You should always be wearing something that can hold your feet in a neutral position whenever you're lying down, both during the day and at night. The earlier you get ballerina-foot issues, the more difficult it is to fix through physical therapy, and if you're really going to push for a full 7 cm you're going to want all the help you can get.

Walking as much as possible, and fighting a losing battle on your slant board. You need to be up and walking and stretching on the slant board for 6 hours of the day and you'll maybe lose less. That is my observation going through it. Though, I was told I was worse than average. I'm 24. Once you get ballerina things start to be hard. Don't tell yourself it will get better when lengthening is over. It will get better months later.

Stretch through the pain or else.

Did you have any soft tissue releases at all or Fasciotomy done to prevent compartment syndrome?
