Questions for people who flew from USA to Europe for consultation

Say you're going from Washington D.C. to Athens for a consultation with Giotikas.

Let's say the appointment is on a Friday early afternoon.

Taking travel time/delayed flights/figuring out where to go in Athens to get to him

1. What day/time would you leave D.C.?

2. What day/time would you leave Athens to go back to D.C.?

3. What apps or services would use to help you for the flight and other travel (I guess take a taxi from airport to Giotikas)?
