Osteomyelitis cases
« on: December 11, 2023, 04:23:56 AM »

Just read the case of Wannabetaller destroyed my life and I'm wondering if anyone else had osteomyelitis after this surgery? That's pretty scaring!
Did that person do LON or precise?

What is the safest LL method to avoid osteomyelitis?

I'll be interested to hear thoughts..

Did she do LON? There is lots of information and in the beginning she didn't explain how she started. But that's really scarring after I've seen pictures so I'm wondering what type of nail that person had

Dr. Yuksel of Wannabetaller
See here - http://www.limblengtheningforum.com/index.php?topic=84269.0

I'm just wondering what is the risk of Osteomyelitis if you go to doctors like Becker (Germany), Birkholtz (S Africa), Gdalevich (Montreal) - these are my options.

But that thing is really scaring that's why I was wondering if any other people who did surgery let's say not in Turkey - had osteomyelitis

Here is her post, looks like it was LON -

Anold forum member said this -
LON on the femur you have a 20% chance of getting osteomyelitis.  With internal methods on the femur, a chance of no more than 1%.  Regarding tibia.  Both external and internal methods have a very low chance.

And then that guy never came back to the forum so no idea what he had on his leg

So I think there is no question now! ONLY INTERNAL METHOD IS FINE and that's it!

Oh yeh every time I scratch it leaves a red mark and this one haven't gone away and got me worried. I took an antibiotic pill just for it. Nothing showed after.

With internals if you get a bone infection it is many times nore dangerous compared to externals that 99% of the cases are fine with a week of oral antibiotics.

Its pretty much confusing LOL
some people say that with internals its 1 percentage of getting bone infection and with LON 20
you are saying that its more dangerous
so what is the safest method then???
i think for now i'll just skip this surgery and better wear insoles that are more safe :)
