I’m not going into any details. I’m only saying that it has improved.

What is your external tibial torsion angle? Could it not be fixed directly with an IM nail?

It's not necessary to state the exact angle of torsion. Yes, it can be fixed with a static IM nail and covered under insurance, but I took this unique opportunity to include tibial lengthening with Precice 2.2 nails instead of a static IM nail and have a good portion of the tibial lengthening surgery covered under insurance.

If your torsion can be corrected by an IM nail then it must be 10 degree or so correction as greater than that can cause issues if acutely corrected. I ask what the angle is as there is no clear consensus on what effect torsion has especially in the ranges that are only moderately deviated from the average.

If it can be corrected with a static IM nail why not skip the ex fix and go straight to precise?

What is your source for this? I am going to have my right tibia derotated by 20 degrees via acute correction using the precice nail.

Don't worry. My orthopedic doctor already measured the torsion angle via CT scan and determined it is eligible for torsion correction surgery. There is no need to provide details, as it is a private health record.

Part 2: That's what I said earlier. Instead of using a static IM nail to correct the torsion, the doctor will use a precice nail to correct the torsion and lengthen the tibias.

Why is it called a hybrid surgery if it can be acutely corrected by the precise nail? That would just be regular IM surgery.
