Helo there and thank you for your interaction. Both Doctors did suggest to stop at 6cm ,considering all factors that have been there and those that has came up during lengthening such as strong pain and at my left knee as lengthening brought femur bone head closer to tibia. I also felt that I can't tolerate going to 7cm which has become my goal, after i started lengthening and feeling what it is like and the toll it takes on the body.
So basically, if my doctors did not advise me to stop at 6cm ,I was going to do that anyway. One more centimeter is not going to make a world of difference regarding my height, but it would have created many complications. I am very happy with what I got.

Could you please ask to Dr. Salameh about subsidence loss after frame removal? Should we be worried about it.Do we need to overlengthen about 5-10mm beyonds our targeted length to compensate?Thank you.

Hi, according to Dr.Salameh, if the fixators are removed after the bones have fully consolidated, there will be no loss of height. The loss happens if the fixators are removed prematurely, while the bones have not hardened enough. Hope that helps!

hey man, Congrats on new height!!!!!
how much time does it take to get back  to normal life and most importantly normal way of walking?

will you be able to run a marathon after 2 years of lengthening(lets say 6cm of lengthening)------>    (I'm an athlete).

Hi, so sorry it took me long to reply. More  than one factor goes into determining the duration that a person takes to return to his normal life before CLL. The only one qualified to answer that reliably is an orthopedic surgeon, who might ask you to have special bone xrays done in order to give you an idea. Even then, sometimes during the process new things may arise and affect the time needed. One thing I am sure of though, physio therapy plays a very big role in getting one back quickly and efficiently to his normal life before the procedure. Hope that helped!
