Ok this is actually unbelievable and insane. The story goes like these: he was shot and survived, he then 3 months later woke up but he was 6 INCHES taller, I mean, how? I absolutely do know sleep have a correlation with growing but I definetely didn't know this could be possible.

So why is this isn't explored as alternative to LL? Also if this Is possible how could one induce in something similar without the risks? Could long periods of deep sleep (I don't know 18 hours a day?) have any effect?

I got so many questions and there is literally zero info online.

More than likely what happened is that the patient had some kind of deficiency that stopped his body from either releasing HGH/IGF-1 or wasnt absorbed properly by androgen receptors which lead to his growth plates being open all the way to the age of 26 and the coma must've triggered something in his body to fix that deficiency.

This cant be replicated because more than likely your growth plates are closed deep sleeping wont do anything if your growth plates are closed doesnt even seem like you did any research

Kevin Passanise is the name of the person. You can watch him in a recent podcast.

At 26 plates are not open, there is 0 chance. Also the person was an active football player with no health conditions. There are medical ways to induce patients to coma safely so wtf do you mean. I'm not saying it should be an alternative but my question is why Isn't this known? Or explored in the medical field? There isn't even papera about it. The question remains. How Is it possible for the body to grow in that state?

Another interesting info about Growth Plate Reappearance after Closure in Ankle Radiography for Trauma, one of the patient was 27 years old.

I'm giving anecdotical empirical evidence and there are actual media reports on the Afore mentioned incident. I don't believe this story. But, even if it were true, your growth plates are almost certainly closed at age 26. So inducing a coma wouldn't help.

The story is real, there is no reason to think is not, also there is actual evidence of him that he was shot and in coma, him growing is true tho. I would assume due the lack of medical info on this is probably the shot altered the brain-hormones glands, system which activated growth, like people with giantism. It's the only explanation I can came up with.

I also think this story is fishy. Unless this guy had something seriously wrong with him (which then it wouldn't apply to us anyway), his plates definitely would've fused. Additionally I wasn't able to find any information other than that minute or so in the podcast

For what reason a guy in his condition and with 0 to do with the LL comunnity would say on a podcast something like that? I mean for what reason? that does not make any sense. He was 26 years old when he got shot, so his plates were closed. In fact the podcast moderator confirmed "he was huge" on a reply in the same video. Why would two people lie for something like that?

If he showed a before and after, or anything for that matter rather than effectively saying "trust me bro", then maybe I could be convinced. Why would he provide evidence on a casual conversation? That was not even the podcast topic at all. I get it, people on the internet lie and a general rule Is not to take as real everything on the internet but I don't see how or why someone would casually lie about something like that for no reason at all.

The fact of the matter is I don't know anything about this guy, and so I can't 100% say for sure if the story is true or not, so I'd rather not get my hopes up for something that seems to have only happened to him. Anyway back to the main topic, the actual story itself. It's interesting, imagine going from being short to average, average to tall, etc. Would be a world of difference, and save so much money from not needing LL anymore

UPDATE: I wrote an email to the host of the podcast (Danny) asking him if he could bring Kevin back for an episode dedicated to show and explain why and how he grew taller while his coma state, I specifically asked him if he could tell him to bring some medical evidence of some sort for the sckeptics and non sayers, he was kind enough to reply to me and stated he will work out a new episode and invite him again. Now We just gotta wait.
