Pain Management - Suggestions Please
« on: January 16, 2019, 02:16:39 PM »

Good Day, LL'ers,

As most of you very well know by now; I have kicked off my CLL journey a little under 2 weeks ago.  I'm enduring consistent aches and pains of 6/7 of 10 at this point. I know it starts to get better soon; however I wanted to check in and see if there was any suggestions you have to manage pain.

I'm currently taking Norco every 4 hours and not pleased with the overall results.  Hoping to bring pain down to 1 - 3.

Thank you,

I remember reading someone’s diary which said more doses of meds are needed when pain is severe.
Or when lengthening rate is too fast for soft tissues, patients suffer severe pain, so they slow down as long as they don’t get premature consolidation.

I was doing Diclophenac injections every second day to allow me to walk, it worked incredibly. I originally tried ketanol, lyrica, tramadol, and one other.

Now, I have gotten off the injections and am walking very slowly on just pills, but at the start the diclophenac really helped me get off my ass to start walking. It was mixed with dexamethosone but I dont think its needed.

1 year post can run slowly, walking/gym everyday. Issues are zero, ankle tight waking up.
