Measuring correctly?
« on: June 10, 2017, 05:03:02 AM »

Hey guys this is my first post here :) , I don't mean to ask more silly questions like this one in the future so please don't hate :D . I was wondering why people who are 165 cm tall claim to be 5.5 feet , I really don't understand their calculations since  a foot = 12 inches , 1 inch = 2.54 cm so therefore 5.5 x 12 x 2.54 = 167.64  != 165.1. I have seen endless sites give different measurements , I believe 167.64 to be true but some say otherwise.

What do you guys think?

Because metric is always more accurate than "crap inches", sometimes i hear they use the term "stones" as measuring weight.

Ok I was being bad...

When people say they are 5'5 (it's not 5.5) they are saying they are 5 feet and 5 inches tall. So 5 feet x 12 = 60 inches + 5 inches

65 inches to cm = 165.1 cm

5.5 feet = 5 foot 6 inches, since a foot has 12 and not 10 inches.

Edit: Oh, already clarified :P
