What's your home currency?  Maybe convert it to Euros now if yours is going to inflate a lot.

I am just learning about investing now. Until now, I've put my money in things like treasury bonds, CDs, savings accounts etc to just get a tiny bit of return b/c I had no idea how investing worked until a month or two ago. I will probably do LL next fall. Not much time, so I imagine for now it is back to shoving the 150k USD I have into series I bonds, savings accounts, and a tiny bit in crypto stablecoin savings accounts. What would you do?

Not sure how much I need liquid for Giotikas in total to be safe, maybe like 70 K USD of it to stay in savings accounts? What would you do?

USD seems to be doing better than other currencies now, so I think you should leave it here.

Also, steer clear of the market due to omicron panic.  Nothing good will come of it if you invest now.  Cramer has been recommending American Eagle Outfitters because they just reported a fantastic 3rd quarter, but got some splash damage from the gap's poor quarter on the same day and actually went down.  Now it's getting dragged down by omicron panic too.  You might want to investigate that one once the chicken littles have calmed down.

I thought the consensus was to do the opposite of whatever Jim "Shill" Cramer does haha. Investing has actually made it possible for a 21 year old like me to get the surgery half a decade earlier than I anticipated, much thanks to buying the dip in the broader markets last year. My philosphy is "you cannot afford anything unless you can buy it twice" so I'm still saving up and planning to do it next year. I'm especially interested in Turkey right now coz of the incredible weak Turkish Lira.

There is no consensus in the market whatsoever.

Cramer's all right, but definitely do your own research on anything anyone says.  People follow him so whatever he recommends will sometimes get a quick bump you can sell for a short-term gain.  His Morgan Stanley recommendation last week got me a nice, quick 3% on a low-risk stock.  He's seen a lot over the years, so especially for a 21 year-old it's good to get an older analyst's tips.

I heard about this. I wonder though- they usually just charge foreigners for cosmetic operations (hair transplants, etc) in Euros though right? Has the Turkish Lira crash really affected things?

Everything since the doctor/hospital can raise their prices to cover 100% of the inflation they are subject to.

I would be more concerned with variations in exchange rates between USD and Euro (not Turkish lira or whatever other currency).
Regarding investments, altough people are loosing money in saving accounts with returns like infinitesimal 0,1% versus eg 2% inflation, my advise, if we are doing LL in the near future, is not taking risks.

It's one of the principles of fundamental economics. When the demand of consumer is increasing, the price will simultaneously increase thereof. So of course LL cost is linked to the general inflation of consumptions.
As for the flexibility of exchange rates, lately RMB is said to be the dominated currency even among the Europe. So I think now that I am Chinese, in the future I can do LL at lower costs.

Not "relatively low inflation" anymore.... A new war, this time in Europe, true or false supply changes, and speculative companies and economies around the world have brought inflation back. Let's hope at least this doesn't reflect also directly in CLL costs...

Right now USD is pretty strong compared to the Euro, which helps me out.

On the other hand, all the living costs in Greece are going up in general which is bad.

Interest rates being so low is bad -> I get jack crap on my USA savings account

The SEC is shutting down crypto interest accounts for non-rich USA users

There is defi in crypto but I am a little bit afraid of it

I'm at wits end and am a bit worried about my original plans to do a second LL on tibias in 1-2 years if inflation gets worth. I paid for internal femurs but haven't gone to Athens yet and have about 90K USD left. What might you do?

Parihar is not much cheaper than Giotikas now for precise 2 unfortunately, though India living expenses are less (somewhat offset by higher ticket flight price and I'd have to pay for travel vaccines out of pocket)
