Deformity correction/ elective LL
« on: September 23, 2022, 09:28:34 AM »

It would be interesting to see how many people are here for elective stature lengthening and how many are here for elective LL surgeries?

All LL surgeries are technically elective. A big leg length discrepancy is not a medical emergency, it just really sucks for the person who has it and may cause problems for some people.

I think most of the people on this forum are cosmetic patients, although some do both in one go. For example, I am in the process of cosmetic tibia lengthening while also correcting a rotational deformity of my shin bones. My doctor seems to do this a lot, since I’ve talked to at least four other people who are doing deformity correction and stature lengthening at the same time.
