Spreadsheet data for CLLers
« on: June 23, 2018, 04:46:20 PM »

Hello all,
I am thinking of creating a spreadsheet kind of form in which every CLLer would enter data with 1 row per person. The columns would be same for all CLLers such as name,  country of origin, country of operation, date of surgery, kind of surgery (femur, tibia, internal, external), doctor, cost of surgery, date of surgery, expected goal, amount achieved finally, total time for lengthening, total time for consolidation, any implications along with their cure, post surgery duration when allowed for walk, post surgery duration when lengthening started, post surgery duration when walking with crutches allowedb independently,  post  surgery duration when walking  unaided started, amount achieved per day(only avg not daily), post surgery costs , total cost of surgery, total time lost in achieving pre CLL condition (till walking normally), any other column one may want to add.

This would allow comparative studies of different types of surgeries, doctors, average time needed to regain preCLL ability, doctors efficiency, cost analysis etc.

I would also request ppl who have done CLL to fill the data to make available more data to allow future CLLers to take rational decisions.

Please give your thoughts and inputs.

Moderators please make this an announcement if possible.

It is a great idea but unfortunately many CLL veterans are not here anymore so their "gaps" would have to be filled by someone who have read their diaries. It is a huge ammount of work

This would be for those who are undergoing CLL and will undergo in future. If any past member would like to fill this data he is welcome otherwise if someone reads the diary and gets some data he could do it voluntarily. I believe sooner or later we would have cover it up.  Currently atleast 10-15 members are undergoing CLL, so if they start filling it, it would give a jump start.
This way, Important information can be captured in a glance rather than reading 20-30 pages of a diary.

Please respond either positive or negatively. It could help so many people now as well as in future. Moderators such as KiloKahn, Body builder, Sweden please provide your feedback.
Thanks.

It'll probably not happen unless you do everything on your own, I think.

We have this very outdated thread.

Yes I do want to add, before doing this surgery, ask yourself if you have optimized your life to the fullest extent possible (job/career, personality, etc).

I am not a moderator. But yes, if someone creates something like that I am willing to participate to help future LLers.
The same I'll do when I start my second LL.
