« on: March 07, 2019, 07:42:38 AM »

Finally starting to grew tall, i am from Afghanistan (kabul). Please accept my apologies for bad english language as i know i will do lots of mistake. I come to india 2 years back for my father treatment he has alzheimers there i was waiting for the doctor. one patient with a strange frame in his legs was passing through!!out of curiosity i asked the hospital staff about the patient there i came to know about height increasing procedure. when i went back to my country i googled and searched about the same a lot. because my first experiance about it was in ndia so my choice of the doctor was same from the first thought.

INITIAL HEIGHT-165CM
WEIGHT-66KG
ACHEIVING GOAL-5-6CM
SURGERY DATE-19 FEB TUESDAY
CONTACT PERSON-HARRY

Surgery took 3-4 hours, first day no such pain. second day i completely regret my decision because of excruciating pain and discomfort, gradually pain decreased and fifth day i discharged from the hospital. Hospital staff was good.
now i am in guest house. Already lengthen 6mm and to be continue.

have reached around 1.1cm as per my latest X-ray, which was done 4 days back. I am positive and would definitely reach my desired goal. My dream and aspirations will all come true, all thanks to medical science.

My pain threshold is great and thus i never took any pain medication after the 5th day of my surgery. i seriously believe what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. i wouldn't have respected myself had I not done this surgery. So yeah, it feels great to be finally doing something that I wanted to do for so long and so badly.

My stay is pretty comfortable and caretaker is very attentive to my needs. i don't have any complaints on this front. physio is also going good. Adward has been an awesome pal to me. i have found a new friend in him.

harry is a very dedicated health care professional and really knows his way through CLL and it's related complications. luckily because of dr sharma i didn't have any complications. he is a competent surgeon.

i hv reached 2.8 cm as of today with one day's rest in-between. recently i have started standing as well. i stand almost 2-3 minutes using my walker. i feel change in my height and am very happy that i am finally going to be taller. i am very thankful to harry and dr. sharma for their help and support.

harry just tightened my pins. he says this reduces the chance of pin bending. i am really lucky that adward is here, he really counsells me a lot. i am much confident now and not sad anymore.
thanks to all of people who share diaries.

Going good by far as per the Dr's recommendation. Ankle stretches are getting difficult for me but still no excuse and have to complete my physio sessions every day twice. Pin sight is bit painful may be because of lengthening cut but not so much. Standing time also improved. finger crossed for the next X-ray.

Sorry everyone for late update. My father had panic attack 4 weeks ago so he had to come India for follow up, got busy with him.
my lengthening is 4.9cm with on off lengthening. Feets are going down when push up it pains. Ankles are tight.  Harry making me stand everyday, heels not touch the floor but after 5-10min it touch. Very uncomfortable.

Hi
Tomorrow is X-ray day, supposed to go yesterday but i had severe stomach ache so i refused to go anywhere. Tomorrow probably my second last X-ray I hope. Very disappointed on me because i wasted quite a lot of time on off because of some family concerns. Now everything is stable and i can focus on my strength.
Since i know i always keep RAMADAN with my family and friends this is the first time i am alone. Nothing seems real. Still doing salat(prayers) timely. May GOD bless everybody.

Successfully achieved my goal. I am 6cm taller now. Friday Akito is planned for frame removal and next day is mine. i supposed to do early but because of Ramadan it delayed. Now when everything went well i'm excited to feel taller without keeping heavy frames in my legs.

Hi Adios

Congrats on achieving your goal of 6 cm.  I think 6 cm in tibias is a good gain.  Hope for your fast recovery and for your father's health!

It’s good that everything has been completed nicely it was your choice to be there and now it’s time to work really hard to get rid of those crutches so keep up with your routine. And take care.

That's awesome, sounds like you're doing really well! When you say walking 90% normal do you mean you are walking unaided?

What exercises would you say are the most important when it comes to being able to walk well soon after frame removals?

Wishing you all the best, hope your recovery continues to go well - keep us updated  :)
