So I plan to go to Germany for my surgery in the near future, but I got a concern about the process. I've read and heard virtually everywhere that the max you could go is 7cm for tibias and 8cm for femurs.
But these guys offer as much as 12cm and 9cm. I do not wanna do something stupid that'll ruin my life, so please tell me if anyone knows about this or how safe it is.
-
dont use betz bone. use precice 3
-
Okay, but what about the recommended length? Do you know of the recovery status of people who did beyond 15cm?

sure they are doing well
Apotheosis - 20 cm, currently casting as slenderman for HBOs new blockbuster series.
Crazy+6 - 18 cm, last week i saw pics on his IG from his arranged wedding to an indian transgender women. they looked really cute, she was maybe 5 cm taller but sitll cute as fk
Greekster - 16 cm, became incel on fulltime
Tall - with 1.97 m as final height he could finally quit his low-paying "underwear modelling" job to work as Mahboubians stadiometer assistant.
Americanfootballer aka CR7 aka Cristiano CRonnie7 - 17cm, used to excel in football as a small coach but the other players never liked being humiliated on the pitch, so they overpowered his petite body in shower and had their revenge. Now Americanfootball, +17cm, has become a "BIG" coach. Nobody fking touches him again. He cannot run anymore. But still BIG coach on the sidelines
4cms aka Danny DeCromagnon - works as full time LL advisor on the forum after two surgeries with sarin giving a total gain of 7.38 cm (but expected to shrink atleast 1 cm as sarins subpar HLN nails material will compress over time).

How do you have so much information? Are you in touch with all these douchebags? Or you are just assuming? Whatever it is, you are funny as ****. Great writer 😉👍

Its written to be funny but every single one of them has atleast 50% truth in it.
I was on the old forum back in 2011 and read alot of the things.

This message left me very confused, but I'm guessing this was meant to be ironic.

What about you? Have you gone through with it?

look, i dont even know why you are considering LL without even knowing the basics. It appears you havent even started reading peoples diaries, if you had, you would know if you lengthen like that its over.
You will give up many things in life and go back to just walking to work, going home. Thats best case scenario.
Worst.. you dont wanna know.
LL surgeons do it for profit, they wont tell you the whole and full truth.
In fact why the fk am I wasting my time explaining. go do it.

I'm sorry if I seem uneducated, but I promise I am. The only thing I was skeptical about was this doctor's office I got in contact with who said to they've had patients who went beyond 15cm no issue.
I'm also trying my best to complete information from this site, but it's super difficult to navigate through, I'm not used to this.

It's good to be skeptical, there's no reason to believe anything until evidence is presented. Also be sure to look at the post history of users so you don't take advice from an idiot who considers selling his apartment/house to get LL.

Who is selling house for LL??🙄🧐

Who is selling house for LL??🙄🧐
He also likes to photoshop fake inbox messages among other dishonest things. Like I said, read everyone's post history so you know who not to take seriously around here.
I am in same situation. Its kinda hard planning for such a big surgery with this dilemma.
I consider 3 things in following prority order:
1. Stryde with Birkholtz
2. Sell my house and do Stryde with Paley
3. Betz nail
I can save up money instead and do LL in 2 years, but thats 2 years of my time wasted on walking around in the body i dont feel confortable with. Low self-esteem, missed oppourtinities.
Or I can sell the apartment, use 70% of that on Paley next month and enjoy life.
I am 30. Let me tell you something, if i had cash i'd have this done when i was 20.
so many opportunities lost... i wouldnt be in this situation if I had changed my destiny.
alone on a weekend, 30 years old. The future seems like an empty black wall, I don't think what awaits me but this pain is unbearable at times.
I wish i could go back in time and live a better life.. fk it..

good examples. i want to give example of ned_flanders / tlannister. guy living in country full of very tall people. he was under 2 percentile of men height. but he was happy. he was doing great in life, all aspects. friends, family, gf, work, looks everything. he is not very young (middle age), but he has enjoyed life to fullest until LL. but just this small thing in his head his height. he had made a detailed post about his pre LL mind set.
so he finds best doctor and best method, and gets stride nail LL (he is rich from wealthy country, so money no problem) and increases by 2 inch (to 10 percentile in his country, but avg female height). now he is recovering very fast and is soon going to jump run make sharp turns etc. he is very happy. he even doesnt see LL as requirement to be happy. LL was never necessary. he does not recommend LL to anyone now. still he is now proud about LL decision. it changed him for the better so there is nothing to hide.
this is moral of this story:
- be very happy BEFORE LL so after LL u will still be happy
- do 2 inch only
- use stride nail with top quality doctor
- be proud of decision after LL (dont be insecure about LL)
-
These posts are pretty heartbreaking, which is why I'm wishing for this procedure to gradually become much cheaper throughout this century for future generations. Wish the stigma around plastic surgery in general was far less prevalent.
-
- be very happy BEFORE LL so after LL u will still be happy
why should someone do cosmetic ll if he is already happy? - find the mistake...
- do 2 inch only
(https://images.derstandard.at/img/2016/06/22/facepalm.jpg?tc=12&s=baed810a)
- sacrificing 1 year prime time
- and minimum 30.000$
for 2 inches makes absolutly sense when your're below 170cm (5.7)...not
-
Lol no ... If you're getting the stryde nail you can safely get 7.5-8cm. If you don't reach this lengthening then the surgery is a waste of money.
I'm not sure why you wouldn't either , you'll be near functional three weeks after surgery anyway. Stryde nails are far less phsyicaly demanding than precise or external tibial lengthening surgeries.

What is your height ? You seem to be very anti-CLL. I have a suspicion it's either because you're already of reasonable height hence you don't experience discrimination or you're at a height where you'll still be significantly below average even after CLL.
-

happy but with some nagging incomplete feeling. not like u sit at home on weekends and friday night, have less friends, no romantic life and thinking LL will solve ur problems.
-
@heightmare (lol username)
i am not anti-CLL. but its not for everyone. i think if u are not happy before LL it doesnt make sense to do LL.
i think 2 inch is more safe but its up to u. i dont disagree with ur argument either.
most of all running will feel very weird. gym workouts remain mostly ok.

Very true I think it's important for everyone not to get caught up in the numbers game too much and always take your proportions into account. I think it's more important to consider what height range you fall into.
Many here would obviously consider 5 8' to be better than 5 7',but in reality, almost no one will notice the difference.
So people, don't ruin your legs to reach your idea of a 'perfect ' height.
-
But you are correct CLL won't solve all your problems at all, people either overestimate or underestimate the importance of height. Regardless being closer to average height is always preferable. Being tall isn't necessary ,but it's a nice privilege.
-
I disagree. Height is a major aspect of your social status for people, subconsciously or otherwise. There's a reason why there's a disproportionate percentage of men over 6 feet who are CEOs and the percentage of 6 foot men. Many physical features could make or break you, and height is no exception.
-
Yeah I get that but is the height self reported or not?
Anyway I'm tryna dispell this dumb narrative that you need to be tall or else. There's nothing wrong with being average height.
Like I said being tall is a privilege.
-
I have the mindset that when it comes to your physical appearance and personality, do everything you can for both to be the best it can and let people decide how much they like it.
-

Max for femurs is 8cm, max for tibs is 5/6cm
I don’t care what you’ve read or who said. Don’t go higher, that is the max safe limit
Accept it
-
Max for tibia is 7cm according to doctors who specialize in this field and say there would be consequences if you exceeded that. It's some of these businesses who offer heigher and claim there won't be a problem. But 7 is fine.
-
Yeah 7cm seems to be in the conservative side ,considering almost everyone who does stryde exceeds that.
But hey I'm not a doctor.
It's all how your body responds however, I plan on getting 8cm with stryde however if I my body can't handle that I'll settle for 7.5cm.
-
Good choice. It's good to be as informed as much as possible as opposed to backing out entirely or going for a really small number and wasting money.
-

No it’s not, and you’re an idiot for saying that
If paley and rozbruch and donghoon, the best doctors, will refuse to go more than 5-6cm what makes you qualified to say that?
-
agree @ Activatedx
It also depends on your starting bone-length.
<= 15 % is safe-zone, some people can reach something between 15-20%, but it's dangerous as hell.
Everything above 20% is lifetime hell!
-
American doctors have done presentations where 8 and 7 are stated as the max for upper and lower parts, respectively. Some people have exceeded it slightly and recovered in the average amount of time.
-

If you ask me, it sounds like you're seeking confirmation bias and looking for people to agree so you don't feel bad if you were to get 7+8. Correct me if I'm wrong.

In any case, that doesn't mean you should lengthen those amounts.
-
Dude you can't lengthen that 15-16cm and expect to fully functioning after.
As soitchi stated your just looking for a confirmations bias .Yes height is important , we all know this, but your out right refusal to listen to people on this forum suggest you've become preoccupied on a particular height.
The closer your height is to male average ,the less noticeable additional or diminished height becomes as there is actually an extremely small variation in human height. A two inch deviation above and below the average male height captures 80% of the population. Hence why you won't immediately notice a difference between a 5 10 ' and a 6 0' man.
Temper your expectations for your own safety and sanity.
-
I initially started this thread to see if anyone had any examples of people doing more than 15 and turning out okay due to promises made by a certain doctor. Based on all the information I've compiled, I haven't found a credible source tell ling me 15 is dangerous. But I'm an evidence-driven guy, and what you're saying is new to me. So I'm all ears if you could give me the run down on consequences for folks who do 15-16. Might just save my life.
-
A 2inch difference is very noticeable for me personally, but that's besides the point. I wasn't looking for confirmation bias, just some fact checking based on a doctor I got in contact with.
So we've established past 15 is dangerous, so what's your maximum based on everything you've seen?
-
Oh btw when you used the numbers 15-16 were you thinking of 2 surgeries or 1? Because I was thinking of two. It's pushing the limit, but I wouldn't say you'd not be fully functional eventually.
-
2 surgeries of course.
While muscles can grow, tendons can't, streching them is limited.
Another problem is the relatively short lengthening period towards natural growing.
-
7.5cm to 8cm max for femurs and 5cm for tibias. The rule of thumb is that you can get 5inchs from two surgeries. Lengthening over 5cm for tibias is where things get dangerous quickly.
From what I've read from really old diaries on a different forum, people were aiming for 15-20cm all the time. They soon realised that this was incredibly stupid after a few people that did lengthen this much were hobbling about years after the surgery.
-
Just as an additional point lengthening beyond 5 inchs would completely screw up your proportions.
If your doing two surgeries, your proportions will need to be something you'll have to consider. Those that have long arms ,long torsos and are broad shouldered for their height would be the ones that would still look decent after two surgeries as opposed to a 'dwarf on stilts'.
-
Something you might want to consider is once you get the first operation you might not even want the second. There's no need to commit to two surgeries before even the first.
Here's some pics for reference to what @Heightmare is saying about proportions

What's wrong with this guy? looks proportioned to me.
Also for two surgeries I would do less, 5cm tibia 7cm femur is more than enough (it should be also kinda safe), 12cm total will change the life of anyone, from 165 to 177, from 170 to 182, from 175 to 187, you don't need to be 190 categorically to be happy, 12cm boost should make feel better even someone 160 because it's objectively a massive improvement. I mean if you're short and being absolutely average don't make you feel ok then it's about time to work on your mind.
-
The guy in the last three pictures is Apotheosis,he's an extreme narcissistic, hence he's probably only posting pictures that look good. You'd probably never get any candid photos from him. Regardless, a 20cm increase will look good on very few
But you're so right loud if you're not happy with being average height then you have some deeper issues such as BDD

His shirts are big to hide where his torso really ends and looks thin next to real 6+ footers despite him being filled out. Also look at the gif of him running. There's some people who might think 2 surgeries and a lot of lengthening is a good trade to lose the ability to run, some not. Those are some things to think about, it's not just money and time being traded here for height.

Only way to lengthen 16cm is to lengthen 4cm in tibia and femur, then heal and wait a year. Then rebreak and lengthen 4cm again in total for 8cm per segment. Which is idiotic to pay an extra year and 100k for 2-3cm imo. Might as well just do 5-6cm and 8 and be done
