Taking the rods out!!
« on: February 27, 2020, 04:05:43 PM »

Hey guys,

How complicated is the surgery for  the removal of the rod? Should I do it with my doctor in a more advanced country which will cost more than 10k or should I do it in another country which only cost 1-2k?

Some LL veterans told me that I could saved money by having this done in a cheaper country.

Any thoughts/advices about this?

I'd say when it comes to this surgery, surgeon is the most important factor.
So.. you might as well go to india to save tons of money but you must find some patients to talk to first

Not very complicated.  Several of the people I lengthened with did it that way.

Some doctors wanted to know from the patients what type of nails were in them, so as long as you know that I think you're good to get it done elsewhere.  You don't have to be a CLL specialist to know how to take a rod out of someone, after all.

Not as bad as you think. The bone is healed and that is the main concern. They will take out hardware so long as they know the procedure you had done. You will be a bit sore, stiff and tender for a few weeks.

how long does it take to get rid of knee pain after removal of nails from tibia? in 2-3 weeks should I expect that this severe pain still continues ? it intensifies when I am resting or sleeping
could it be that it is painful to have painful  scars in the knee after reaming in tibia?
the nail was placed in so called safe zone of tibial plateau but provokes pain even after its removal
is it common that knee pain problems continue after removal of rods?
