Recommend Doctors with $40k budget
« on: March 21, 2021, 06:19:20 PM »

Hello!, I want a LL surgery this year but I don't know so much about good Doctors on this field.

my currently height is 1.60cm 5' 3"
and I'm aiming for 1.65/1.66cm 5' 5"
Age: 28
either tibia or femur I don´t have the budget for tibia+femur

Dr. Lee Donghoon caught my attention but his price it's very expensive for my budget  :-\  since I prefer the PRECICE method (or maybe LON)
so do you guys know Doctors in USA, Spain, France or Latin America whose price is at least $40k - $50k?

Thank You

At that price range for the countries you mentioned you will probably only find LON

Dr Parihar would be roughly $15,000 for LON and you can stay at a great hotel in Mumbai with enough left over with that budget.

This is probably the best you're going to get. When you say $40k budget, you can't just have money for the surgery itself. You have to consider everything else like exchange fee, taxes, rent, food, flight, PT, and even have some on the side for complications. That's only the short list.

I didn't use LATN and I am fully recovered.

You're confused.

You are confused . You  did LON? Pure external ? See your frame two half Wire almost at same place , its kind of big injury.

I've never posted an x-ray where a rod was put inside.

You don't know what you're talking about.

Thank you for your replies, I think I'm going with Dr. Giotikas, I have two choices :

Going for 5cm on Tibias = 1.60cm > 1.65cm
or
Going for 3.5cm on Tibias and 3.5cm on femurs = 1.60cm > 1.67cm

I don't mind to pay more I'm just worried about body proportions (currently my Tibia and Femur are almost equal in terms of lenght) and safety in the long term since I dance and run as a hobbie, also I saw some before/after patients where the lenght it's too much that their arms looked so short.
I'll appreciate your opinions.

Your budget is 40k but now you’re considering quadrilateral with Giotakis?  For a grand total of 7cm?  That makes no sense.

Also, your tibia and femur are almost certainly not nearly equal. This is something that can’t be measured at home—you need an X-ray.

I forgot to update but now I have more Budget for doing both Tibias and Femurs and you're right an X-ray would give an exact measurement

If you're going to pay for quadrilaterals, you should really consider trying for 6+4. You can always stop early if you like how you look during lengthening. And yeah, it's pretty unlikely that your tibia bone is anywhere near as long as your femur bone. Get an X-ray and a consult with the doctor, then decide.
